- Dan graduated from the University of Southern California and has 35 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist.
- Elizabeth graduated from the University of Southern California and has been a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for 40 years and currently practices at Desert Regional Medical Center, Palm Springs, California. Her personal use of the current IV ports and syringes in the clinical setting and the observation of their limitations to prevent contamination and inadvertent injection of bacteria into the bloodstream were key factors fueling the development of the DoubleLock Sterile Entry IV Port and Syringe System.
- Additionally, tubing misconnections and wrong-route infusion or injection drug errors are a concern. DoubleLock Healthcare, Inc. has joined the Global Engineered Device Supplier Association (GEDSA) and the Association for the Advancement Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the U. S. representative to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Elizabeth serves on 6 GEDSA committees and and on two ISO committees.
